Welcome! I’m Pegi, and Flower Bumbles began with a simple habit—taking pictures of flowers wherever I walk, noticing blooms both wild and cultivated, and sharing their beauty with others. I hope this website inspires you to slow down, look a little closer, and discover the beauty growing all around you.

How Flower Bumbles Began

When I was a teenager, my father gave me my first real camera—a 35 mm camera that opened my eyes to the joy of photography. I loved taking pictures, but in those days every roll of film and every developed print cost money. Taking random photographs just for the pleasure of it wasn’t something I could afford, so eventually the camera was tucked away.

Years later, something wonderful happened.

The little cell phone I carried every day became a camera capable of capturing beautiful moments. Suddenly, I could stop whenever I found a flower that caught my eye, take a picture, and simply enjoy the moment. The joy of photography had quietly found its way back into my life.

As my mother grew older, sharing those flower pictures with her brought a little extra brightness to her day. Before long, I was also sending them to my sisters and friends, who share my love of flowers and the quiet happiness they bring.

These days I bumble through parks, neighborhoods, country roads, and wherever life happens to take me, always keeping an eye out for the next beautiful bloom waiting to be discovered.

That is how Flower Bumbles with Pegi was born.
